Hamilton, Ont Canada - Tuesday, April 01, 2003 at 05:39:44 (EST)Hi Kyle, Been a while since I have been to your site and glad to see it is running along smoothly. We are almost at the 300 name mark on the March of Faces Banners here in Canada and growing. I am sorry to tell you that I have resigned, over some conflicts, from the ALS Ontario web site. I guess the powers to be decided to go in another direction, I dont totally agree that it is the right way, if you go to the site you will see what I mean. Oh well onward and upward, more time to spend on the banners. Keep up the good work.
Geo.

Middletown, Oh USA - Wednesday, November 06, 2002 at 16:22:17 (EST)One year has passed since the tragic passing of my Mom, Grandma Bea and my Aunt Marsha loosing her fight with cancer this summer and September 11, that showed me just how fragile life is. A devastating event that not only changed New York or America but the entire the world forever.
Let's all give a moments silence and keep in our thoughts those people who died needlessly a year ago on September 11, 2001. Also let's remember all the heros that this event brought out from inside all of us!
One last thing tell those people that you care about the most that you love them!

Trenton, OH USA - Sunday, September 01, 2002 at 19:24:07 (EDT)Hi Kyle, enjoyed your site. Just want you to know how much I appreciate the
work that you and Terry are putting in to get the Canada Banners up and running.
These have been a long time in the background and finally they have surfaced. I
think that we will be getting over twenty banners done here for Canada and they
will be from Coast to Coast literally. We have adopted the Walk to D'Feet
concept here as well and our walk dates for this year will be on Sept. 28th. The
banners will also bring the faces to the names and that is so important in my
opinion. We also have a "hill day" where representatives from across Canada go
to Ottawa and meet with the Poletitions and express our concerns, twenty banners
on their lawn should show that we mean business and will not take no for an
answer any more. Although I am pretty limited in what I can do I can still
operate this computer and it is very satisfying as a long term PALS (dx 1991) to
be a part of this, as I said before it was long overdue. Keep up the good work,
you have Canada behind you now. Thanks again for your help with this we really
do appreciate it. George Goodwin

Hi Kyle. My mom died of ALS last year. She had the familal type. Our
families version is a quick one. No one has lived longer then a year from
diagnosis. My mom from diagnosis to heaven was 1 1/2 months. It is a tragic
disease. I wish there was more research going on. Keep up the good work..you are

Thanks!I was ill ALS in summer 1999. I'm 39. Illness began from weakening of
the right hand, fasciculations of thoracal and hand muscles, hyperreflexia,
muscles cramps . Since illness progresses, does not give in to treatment. Now I
am completely invalid. The hands are incapacitated on 90 %. I can't walk, can't
to rise from the bed. The speech, swallowing are broken. The emotional
instability is expressed ( violent laughter). From 1983 to 1994 I tested
missiles on Baikonur Cosmodrome. Last 6 years worked in the Russian militia. The
first job passed in the extremely adverse climate, was accompanied with harmful
radiations. The second job was extremely nervous. Sergey <mailto:alsstillalive@mail.ru> Rostov-Don

continue funding. I strongly believe that stem cell research means hope for
